🍖 Recipe: Stittsworth One-Pan Skillet Supper
Comfort food at its finest -- a simple, hearty one-pan meal with tender Stittsworth beef and potatoes that doesn't require a lot of fuss.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb Stittsworth Ground Beef
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the Stittsworth Ground Beef, breaking it apart as it cooks, until no longer pink (about 5--7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add diced onion and garlic, cooking for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add diced potatoes and stir well to coat with the beef fat.
- Pour in beef broth and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for 15--20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Pro Tip: This is true comfort food -- the kind of meal that brought neighbors together during tough times. Use Stittsworth Ground Beef with a bit of fat (not the leanest) so the potatoes absorb rich, beefy flavor as they cook.
